In order to paint this wall, i used a drawing i had made a few months earlier.
the size of the wall suited the dimensions of the original drawing. I just had to adapt the composition of the background with the plants in order to create voids that guide the eye in its reading of the work.
The illustration depicts a figure staring off into the distance, as if pensive, a cigarette in his mouth, a match still unlit in his hand, his head covered by a paper bag in reference to the consumerism of our world, the plants enveloping him up to his waist are a reminder of his roots in nature. the figure is caught between two worlds and seems hesitant…
